Unless otherwise noted, these images were created using extended depth of field techniques. This is a technique where the subject is photographed several times, each time with a different focus point, moving from the closest to the farthest part of the subject. These pictures are usually made using the sweet spot of the lens, giving optimum focus. Post=processing software extracts the sharpest focused areas of each image and merges them together, resulting in a picture that has great focus throughout.
A StackShot macro focusing rail and NkRemote tethering software are used to shoot the sequence of images. Either Helicon Focus or Zerene Stacker post-processing software is applied to the image sequence. Photoshop is then used as deemed appropriate.
