A large Agave neomexicana in my front yard decided to send up an inflorescence. Unfortunately this means the plant will die. The stalk was about 15 feet tall and weighed about 20 pounds. These images were made after the stalk fell down. The individual flowers continued to open for a few days. The displayed flower part of the stalk is about five feet long.
