Kiteboarding on Lake Mojave
On a windy day in October I went to "Cottonwood East" on Lake Mojave to take pictures of the waves coming in on the beach. The waves were not as good as I hoped. However, I did get some pictures of two kiteboarders. They were having a ball zipping back and forth using their kites. When they realized I was shooting from the shore (or maybe they set me up), they started performing for the camera. They were great! They were flying several feet off the water! This is just a small sample of the shots I got. This is the first serious shooting I've done with the Nikon D800. These shots were taken with the 17-35 lens. I'm glad the camera has 36 megapixels so I could do major cropping and still keep detail. Great camera!
