Stagecoach Springs Wave
This gallery shows the development of an image from my "Riveting" series. (See the Mojave Corral Abstracts gallery.) This image is from an old windmill site near the northeast part of the Mojave National Preserve. Apparently it was a watering spot for stagecoaches in years gone by. There is still a seasonal spring here.
A good friend who only saw the final results asked where the rivets are and why I call it an interpretation not a photograph. This one's for you, Coach.
This image is from the inside of an old, grotty water tank. Through a sequence of contrast, saturation and vibrance boosting (and reboosting), sharpening and resharpening and Photoshop filters, I derived this interpretation. Several filters from the Pixel Genius plugins were invaluable in generating these results.
