WPPD 2009 - Holga 120PC-3D Stereo Pinhole Camera
The Holga 120PC-3D Stereo Pinhole Camera takes very nice stereo images on medium format film. Complete with bubble level and cable release, this camera takes two side-by-side images simultaneously. When properly mounted and viewed, these images give a 3D effect. The build of this Holga is a step above the older Holgas. Although some components are identical, the overall light-tightness and shutter control of this camera is far superior to the more traditional models. The metal tripod mount, the bubble level and the metal cable release socket are all nice features. The images have some vignetting, but the images are large enough (6x6cm) that modest cropping does not hurt the image final results. This camera can be bought with a stereo viewer that works with slide film. The associated mounts provide a convenent way of storing and displaying the images.
Because of my experience with older Holgas I use black electrician's tape to seal the film chamber on this camera. Some people think light leaks are artsy and cool. The ones I get I usually find annoying and deleterious to the final image.
